Alicia is entering her 4th season with Xceleration and first with the 17’s having previously assisted for two seasons at the 16’s level and one at the 18’s. She is also in her third season at Carondelet High where she is the Assistant Varsity Coach. Alicia is a local product who played at Carondelet High and the Golden Bear VBC before earning an athletic scholarship to play at Cal. While at Cal she was the starting Middle Blocker for every match of her 4 year playing career – a total of 123 matches. Alicia helped the team reach the NCAA tournament for four consecutive years, getting as far as the Sweet 16 round in her sophomore season. She was a member of the Pac-10 All-Conference team her Junior and Senior seasons and was a strength and conditioning All-American her Junior year. Alicia graduated from Cal with a BA in Public Health and currently works as an Intake and Behavior Specialist at Tony LaRussa’s Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek.
