Xceleration is excited to have another year with former Olympian and University of Nevada coach Ruth Lawanson who will offer small group sessions for beginners, ages 12 through 14, on three weekends in September and October. Learn from a former USA National Team member and Olympic medalist on the basics of the game. 

​“We are proud to continue our Saturday’s Starters Clinics, which is geared towards players who are just getting into the game,” said club director Leslie Ray. “These young players will have the opportunity to learn from Ruth, a seasoned coach with vast amounts of experience as a player, coach, and clinician.”

“Ruth is one of the greatest players in Fresno State history, a former USA National Team member, and an Olympic medalist to name just a few of the numerous accolades that she has achieved throughout her more than 35 years of volleyball experience, and it will be a tremendous experience for the girls to learn the basics of the game and establish a solid foundation to begin their volleyball journey with her," Jim Ross said.
