Two College Development (CD) Workshops are held each year, in December and January, where information is provided on the college recruitment process and follow-ups are scheduled with the CD Directors. For any players who cannot attend but would like to get this information, please contact the Xceleration CD Directors listed below. As always, this is a FREE service offered to all Xceleration members.
For college information and upcoming workshops, please contact our CD Directors:
Paul Harrison or Jim Ross
College Volleyball might not be the goal of every player who plays at Xceleration, but if it IS, then Xceleration VBC has the program in place to assist parents and players with the process. There IS a definite process that can help parents and athletes in this area, and we have our CD Directors at the club who will personally assist you and guide you through the process. That is only a part of the services offered.
At tournaments, our CD staff is ACTIVELY working for you, contacting coaches and making sure that they get to watch you play. We currently have a database of nearly 500 college coaches who we communicate with, and many of them reach out to us on a regular basis for information on our players. Details on this FREE program offered only to Xceleration members will be provided to you at the CD Workshops sponsored by the club.
WE CURRENTLY HAVE 42 FORMER PLAYERS PLAYING AND ON AN ACTIVE COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL ROSTER. We have had over 110 former players go on to play in college since 2008. We also have had many players go through our CD program with the directors and then make the election not to play in college. In every case like this the parents and athletes have told us that the “process” was very helpful in assisting them in the college decision-making process. Our program will help you develop “options” and having them is critical to picking your college for academics and for athletics.
Our CD Directors are also available for one-on-one sessions. Contact them directly to set this up.
Supplemental Recruiting Tools - VolleyballRecruits
In conjunction with your work with our CD directors, Xceleration highly recommends the use of supplemental tools to aid in the recruiting process. We will suggest that you also sign up to become a member of VolleyballRecruits to take advantage of their services for a special discounted rate with your affiliation with Xceleration. Each member builds a profile that every college coach needs – stats, transcripts, test scores, event schedule, and all your video. You send the completed profile to the schools you are targeting with their built-in messaging system. Every single school – NCAA, NAIA and JC – is a registered user.
VolleyballRecruits can even build you a professional highlight reel with isolation effects in each play. The reel is uploaded directly to your Player Profile. When a coach views your profile, you’re notified immediately and it gets the college coach everything that he or she needs to properly evaluate you. Xceleration will also monitor and actively work with VolleyballRecruits. It’s another tool for us to use to get to the coaches that we need to contact, to monitor what coaches are watching which players, and to facilitate our communications with them.
Alumni On College Rosters!
